Well, it’s nice that the youth wing of the party is venturing now to use blogs for their advocacy. Looking forward for your stands on issues affecting the youth and the nation. Good luck for all your struggles with the people.

Greetings from the Philippine Educational Theater Association!
At the end of this year, 9M youth voters are expected to participate in the 2010 National Elections. Recognizing the importance of the youth vote, the Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) is mounting a FREE 2-hour musical play by award-winning playwright, Vince de Jesus, on voters education entitled: βSi Juan, ang Diyablo at ang Limang Milyong Botoβ (Juan, the Devil and the Five Million Voters).
In PETAβs tradition of using theater to inform, influence and inspire, this vaudeville-styled musical will happen back-to-back with live sign-ups, performances, registration for the elections. We would like to invite you to attend the launch of this event at the PETA Theater Center No. 5 Eymard Drive, New Manila Quezon City on the following dates: October 13-15, 24 & 25 (2:30pm or 7:30pm). Please send me your email address so we could send the invitation letter if you’re interested. NO CONFIRMATION, NO ENTRY. Thank you.

Hi!
To what extent would one have to be active in order to gain and maintain membership? Say one could not commit physically due to “parental” or other such restraints, but could contribute in other ways (ie. journalism). Would that also be grounds for membership? I really want to take my beliefs up a notch, and I think this organization is a prime forum for such.
Thanks
P.S.

Hi!
First, we apologize for the super delay reply to your message.
Second, yes, of course, you can still gain and maintain membership to Akbayan Youth even if you cannot commit physically. However, you still have to undergo an orientation to officially become a member. We can set a schedule for your orientation depending on your availability.
Third, we’d like to ask for your name, contact number, where in Metro Manila you are, and what school you are in. So we can coordinate it with our local operator in your area. Also, we would appreciate if you could tell us what are your interests (e.g. web savvy, writing articles, photoshop/ lay-outing, among others).
Thank you for your interest in joining Akbayan Youth!
